Strangest Animals I've Ever Seen

The night is sooo cold and I was hook up in YouTube’s videos about models falling off while on the ramp stage. A little while, I decided to watch the Japanese anime of Marmalade Boy. After the first episode, it came to me, “Why not look for the strangest animal in the internet?” It seems a good idea. So now, I’m sharing some pictures about the top 3 (for me) strangest animals ever.

These pictures are just snippets of the lists of the weirdest animals on Earth. Click here for more.:)

How I Wish

I wanted to be as productive as possible. And yet, I ended up a loser. I tried so hard to be on track on the things that I needed to do. But I guess, I need to manage my time effectively in order to achieve that.

One of the things that I miss most is the time that I spent sleeping. In this stage of my life, I hardly get a good and straight 6 hours sleep. That is without the uninterrupted bells of my alarm. Or just being caught up in my unconscious mind telling me it’s time to wake up. I hate it when I am on my bed and suddenly, a nocturnal voice would say that I need to rush into the bathroom and take that cold-piercing water.

Sooooo tired

I realized that this week was so exhausting. I can remember sleepless nights doing something, be it a report or an exam. My personal hygiene was even affected (that is so gross!). There was even a time that I even skipped washing my hair for a day because I was trying to catch up my morning class! Can you believe that? And I’m suffering from insomnia too. My sleeps are irregular and my eyes would allow me to sleep at around 3:30 in the morning.

I wish I could go a beach and relax just a bit.

Reminiscing the Saddest Moment in My Life

(A repost from my multiply account)

On the morning of July 7, 2005, when all was just sleeping, my mother got up and started to wander in the streets to collect money to the debtors of the different products she sells.

I was just sleeping comfortably in my bed as my mother went out for my elder sister was asking again for money saying she badly needed it for her project. It was a lie but of course my mother didn’t know that, neither in our family knew she was doing some other stuff in Davao as we trust her to do her best for she is the eldest and our family expects high on her to finish schooling on time.

I Pay Tribute to My Mom

(A repost from my multiply account)

I pay tribute to my mom even though she constantly gets mad at me, though sometimes, she yells at me so loud that a lot of our neighbors could heed what she says, or when she forbids me with my nighttime gimmicks, or eve when she cuts off my mobile phone load allowances because i committed some mistakes

But even so, I salute her.

Not because she bought my dream bicycle then, or because she helps me with my research works; not also because she sent me to a good school, nor because she lets me play with her make-up

I salute her for the reason that she was able to raise the five of us, for she had been a great woman who provided us with everything we need, for she remembered the we don't have for our lunch when she herself was bleeding and deeply wounded, for she bravely fought death though it subdued her. I salute her simply because she had been a friend, a listener, an adviser, a teacher and at the same time a mother.

I know words are not enough to describe who she is as a person. And I thank God because through her, He let me see how I should be a mother someday, although not that perfect, but almost...

The Yellow Ribbon retold by S. E. Schlosser

(This is the story that I've been looking for ages. I hope you'll like it. It's quite a read though.)

Jane wore a yellow ribbon around her neck everyday. And I mean everyday, rain or shine, whether it matched her outfit or not. It annoyed her best friend Johnny after awhile. He was her next door neighbor and had known Jane since she was three. When he was young, he had barely noticed the yellow ribbon, but now they were in high school together, it bothered him.

“Why do you wear that yellow ribbon around your neck, Jane?” he’d ask her every day. But she wouldn’t tell him.

Debit Syndrome

My head is so wacked up. I can’t think of anything but debts and debts and debts. It feels like the last song syndrome. Hmmm, maybe it’s called the last word syndrome?lol.:p

Seriously though, I had a tiring job. Imagine? I get to work on the Kadayawan day celebration? Pfff :( But I get to lessen my working hours for my OJT. Yipee!

By the way, I am so excited this coming Wednesday since fourth year students in our school will be having our glamour shots. I wonder what my other classmate glam shots would be. I know for sure that they are going to wear funny dresses. I hope:D

I was having trouble thinking what would be my glam shot but Kring and Vanyssa tipped me about a theme which sounds so nice. I guess I’m going to be like D---. Phew. I hope my friends have something in mind too.:D

I get to work through writing.

I have a new job which requires me to write anything that I can connect to the certain keywords that were given to me beforehand. I admit that the pay is somewhat small but I really don’t mind it at all. I take it as a challenge in improving my writing ability.

The conditions are okay but I find it hard sometimes to stay on the topic. Ate Bambi said that grammar is not strict as long as it sounds correct. But I really try my best to come up with a nice article even if it requires me 2 hours of thinking. That's a lof of time.

The hard part here is when you don’t know anything on the given keyword. I need to research some words for me to write a minimum of 500-word-article. But it’s my one way of unwinding from the tedious works I normally do from school.

I hope that at some point in my life, Engr. Adviento’s prediction will come true about my work:D

Profiling

As we had our profiling on the first day of our Pagtataya, we were able to interview some residents of the GK Medsa in Tibungco. They had almost the same claims: lack of electricity and clean water.

People in that area were really troubled by the lack of electricity since this causes a lot of chaos to them. They also enumerated some bad happenings they had experienced due to the lack of electric power. One of this is the rampant gang wars in which the residents were very much affected. They narrated to us that at some point in the wars which involves the youth, they were able to pester the residents with their loud ramblings accompanied with the breaking of empty beer bottles.

Her Morning Elegance/Oren Lavie

I just got home from a night of karaoke with my IM4 classmates when an email mentioned a site which could help build traffic to your own site. I got curious so I immediately focused my attention from buying friends in facebook to clicking the domain name of my top priority page—youtube. Just as I finished watching a short film “Signs”, a link on the right part of the page caught my attention. The video was so creative that I ended up hanging my mouth wide open. No kidding. Here, let yourself be the judge.

So what can you say?I told ya:)

Life at GK Medsa

Life is somewhat boxed and structuralize for me. I knew that even in our driest days, my father could support us, he will find a way at least. I am lucky, so darn lucky.

Theo immersion was an opportunity to us all to be reminded of how other people are working their butts off to make a living for their family. To give help to those who are in need of them and to be able to give grace to our current living, these are just some of the objectives of the “Pagtataya” we had for the past three weeks.

Little Man: The Way Girls Are

I was surfing and commenting on one of the forum sites (trsitancafe.com) when I get to peek at someone else’s post. He posted a link about how good the video was. I scrolled down the page and found nice comments underneath so I decided to take a visit at it.

And here’s what I found…

A cute little boy on how he sees the other gender.
Note: Careful kids, some parts are not for you but not malicious enough not to be watch. Enjoy:D

Sayawtenista 2009

Seven in the evening: The whole crowd cheered for their own division as the hosts announced the contestants for the Sayawtenista 2009. Sayawtenista is believed to be the highlight of the entire fiesta since it showcases the talents of all the division representatives with their division teachers as well. Also, this event handles the announcing of all the winners from volleyball to dance competitions. Giving of awards to the students who surpassed the academics and non academics challenges are also acknowledge.

Eight in the evening: Droplets of sweat hit my face as I cheered for the EA division (CS did not participate) contestants for the Sayawtenista competition.

The whole security force sucks

Four in the afternoon was the call time for all the division participants to gather on their respective areas as each division distributes their tickets for the Ateneo Cheer Dance and Latin Dance Competition. I just realised now how my voice got “husky” as I tried to call on the names of the students who purchased the tickets. Gosh. I felt so tired. I am not part of the division club but since I got my ticket from the Secretary General herself, I am confident to helped Eaque in giving it away. But I was wrong.

Help me!

College fiesta was all the Ateneans could think about, including me. But I guess we must also think that in the midst of this glamorous and joyous event, the country is in need of healing. There are a lot of issues the Filipino people must be involved with.

The issue with Gloria’s wealth is really disturbing. Can somebody enlighten me with this? Of course I’m reading news papers online but it does not entirely cover the whole story. Help!

The not so classy Ateneans

Once again, the Ateneo de Davao University is in the season of choosing the best division for the school year 2009-2010—the College Fiesta. And as I remember, we students are always being reminded to exhibit ‘magis’ which, I personally believe had gone too far.

Even before the fiesta proper, issues were recorded quietly so as not to aggravate the already tainted reputation of some officials at school. Let me tell you what’s happening…

President Arroyo is dead?

I was in the office when Kuya Jon said something about how Manila Bulletin’s error caused a stir in the whole country.

Let me show what that picture is…

I got this picture from this site (http://wawam.wordpress.com/2009/08/06/did-manila-bulletin-say-arroyo-is-dead-and-in-a-coffin-hoax-or-real/) and the photo is fast circulating in the internet. It has a caption of: WITH UTMOST CARE. Military honor guard carefully moves the coffin of President Arroyo out of the Manila Cathedral. (Photo by Tony Pionilla)

I don't really know what will happen to the editor of this publication because surely, the Arroyo administration will see it as a black propaganda against her.

Addicted to...

I can’t believe I didn’t sleep just to play the Build-a-lot game. Urgh. Now my eye bugs are puffy with dark circles around them, forming a small coin. /*that’s what you get from jumping off the bed*/

On the brighter side, we have no class but here I am on my desk, working my butt off just to feed my kids (kidding!), drooling from the cool atmosphere—ready to sleep (can I have a nap sir?).

*The lack of organized details in this certain post is due to tiredness. zzZZz

By the way, I had my first ComElec transaction with 4 freshmen at school. Yipeeee.:)

News addict

For almost a year now, I have this habit of constantly spying the site of Philippine Daily Inquirer, CNN and the ABS-CBN News Online. Some of my classmates even wonder why I go home early.

But these past days, things made me a bit sad because a lot of activities are demanding my time and my strength resulting to a tiring day EVERYDAY.

Since fourth year Bachelor of Science in Information Management students are required to have their on-the-job training on IT related companies, students are bombarded with this new and strenuous responsibility. It is necessary that each student must complete 150 working hours on their chosen company for this semester ONLY. Some students are experiencing difficulty since they are also busy with different organizations at school especially that the College fiesta is fast approaching. As a result, I can’t watch news on TV without drooling.

Talking about nonsense

I had a long and tiring job yesterday, not that it requires my whole body to move, it’s just that I was force to sit for approximately 5 hours facing my laptop. I was a bit uneasy. Maybe because of my rumbling stomach, or was it because of my parched mouth? I was not so sure. All I know is that I was ready to cry then.

After what seemed to be an eternity, I finished the assigned task at around 6:30 in the evening. Just as I was about to stand up, my legs gave in, torturing me into an unexpected wobbling of my surroundings. Thanks to my conscious mind, I was able to grab the chair I was sitting on a moment ago. I was lucky.

So darn lucky

Having friends such as the people I have right now makes me say that I am indeed a lucky and super blessed person. Four years had gone by and I never thought that I will have them. And for the past years, they had been encouraging me at my lowest times.

I was a lonely, awful and aloof kid.Everyone can be a proof to my weirdness. But I don’t take it negatively because I know I have Yang2, Kring, Kim, and Kai2 who accept my oddity. They have been my companion in the past 3 years. We have bonding moments such as taking pictures every semester be it on the comfort room or somewhere in the corner, with sweat filling our body just to have a group picture, is so awarding.
