Lifetime Partner. Er, Right.

One day, my sister and I were in a jeepney when a friend and former co-league of mom sat beside me. She’s actually our neighbor and she’s very sweet and was always kind to us. We had a small talk, asked me about how things are and work and yadah yadah yadah.

We talked about almost everything when out of nowhere she asked us if we knew something about dad’s girlfriend. She didn’t exactly say “girlfriend” but it’s something like that. It’s like she’s hinting but couldn’t really say it fully. I wasn’t sure if I can say yes and just divulge everything to her so I kept my answer vague while my sister didn’t comment on it at all. I don’t think dad would like that kind of gossip but anyway, I got surprised in the end since she actually knew about it. It was surprising cause I thought dad don’t want to make his private life public. Soooo, I got some information that the best friend of mom was the one who introduced them to each other.

I never really thought that they would get involved into dad’s love life but I guess it just fits perfectly: the girl was looking for a lifetime partner as she is a divorcee and dad needed someone to be with him for the rest of his life. I sometimes get the feeling that he’s lonely and I think he’s in desperate need to have a nice woman beside him. And according to Ms. H, the girl’s serious. She also added that the girl doesn’t care if dad has kids and if they would get along just fine, she could even support my younger brothers’ education. Sweeeet :D I get this feeling that we could get along as well—if it pushes through :)

I used to object every time I hear something about dad having a girlfriend, texting about every woman in our town or anything of that sort. I even cried! But I guess it’s normal. Funny thing is that I was the ONLY one who had violent reactions to his activities. We even had a fight once. :)) But now, I can say that I have somewhat accepted that one day my father’s gonna marry AGAIN. All I’m worried about is the girl’s attitude but since she’s a friend of my mom’s friend, then I think she’ll be a good stepmom. HOPEFULLY.

I’m just hoping that they won’t be having kids IF they would get married (they’re still not dating; they’re on the getting-to-know-each-other stage), I mean, that would be outrageous. HAHAHAH!
